The horrific and brutal attacks in Norway on the 22nd of July are a national tragedy. It is also an attack on our humanity and our fundamental values; openness, inclusiveness, engagement and democracy. The Embassy is overwhelmed and very grateful for the condolences, support and sympathy that we have received from institutions and individuals in Ethiopia.
We will not be intimidated or threatened by these attacks. The aim of such attacks is to spread fear and panic. We will not let that happen! The attacks have brought the Norwegian people together and we hope that what we have been through will lead to more openness, more tolerance and more political participation.
