Norway supports the Copenhagen Accord

Last updated: 28.01.2010 // On January 25th, Norway announced its support to the Copenhagen Accord through a letter to the UN Climate Secretariat.

The Copenhagen Accord was never passed as a, but merely taken note of. It is therefore depending on active support from countries desiring the Accord to serve as a guideline for further negotiations.

While bearing in mind the Norwegian support, it is important to encourage other countries to mobilize for the agreement, with the purpose of making the Copenhagen Accord into a tool that can create progress  for the climate-negotiations, which are in a critical process.
