On the 26th of July at the AU Summit in Kampala, IGAD Executive Secretary Maalim Maboub and Ambassador of Norway Jens Petter Kjemprud signed an agreement worth 2,9 million NOK, as support to the establishment of an IGAD Liaison Office in Juba, Southern Sudan. . Read more
IGAD held its 33rd Council of Ministers meeting in Djibouti 7 and 8 December. Foreign Ministers of Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia as well as the deputy minister of Uganda participated as well as a Sudanese delegation. The ambassadors from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark yesterday 12.10.09 signed an agreement with IGAD Executiv Secretary Eng. Mahmoud Maalim in Addis Ababa. The agreement is a joint financing arrangement for "A new Strategic Partnership to deliver IGADs mandate of Regional Stability, Integration and Prosperity. Read more

Norway will support the IGAD (InterGovernmental Authority on Development) Capacity Building Program Against Terrorism (ICPAT) with NOK 2 million. Norwegian Ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud signed an agreement in the ICPAT secretariat office, Addis Ababa, Thursday. Read more
