Norwegian Embassy won the 6th CRBC Ring Road Relay

11.09.2009 // The Royal Norwegian Embassy’s runner’s team won the Great Ethiopian Run’s Ring Road Relay in the embassy class on Sunday.

The Norwegian embassy came first, followed by the British embassy and the European Commission to the AU. After the race, the Norwegian embassy was first announced as coming third, but this was corrected late Sunday evening.

- The embassy came third when we participated in 2007 so this is a real improvement. We are very happy and has been working hard for this, said the team members after winning. The CRBC Ring Road Relay was started in 2004 to mark the handover by the CRBC construction team of the second phase of the Addis Ababa Ring Road to the Addis Ababa City Roads Authority. A total of 80 teams took part in the relay race for organizations, plus 50 teams in the elite races. Read more at the Great Ethiopian Run's webpage.
