At the first attempt the Royal Norwegian Embassy relay team finishes third, behind USA and United Kingdom, among the competing Embassies for this years Great Ethiopian Run, Ring Road relay on 23rd December. In the relay, which is 12x 1 kilometer, Norway finished well in front of France, Sweden, Japan and the other competing Embassy teams.
The Norwegian team, organized on short notice, where among the better teams in the non-professional class and the runners are committed to improve next year on this year's performance, according to team coach Fikru Molla. Fikru arranged a qualification run just before the race this year and urges all other staff to prepare to be ready to compete for next year.
The team consisted of Tigistu Kebede, Fikru Molla, Yonas Korssa, H.E. Ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud, Tekletsion Zewdie, Kelelew Kebede, Hailu Kebede, Ketema Fita, Sisaye sirma, Yigremachew Habte, Berhanu Beza, Dawit Gebregiorgis, Habitu Fantaye, Alemayehu y/Birhane.
