The lectures which lasted for the duration of two weeks will be repeated at a later stage by other lawyers from DLA Piper internationally. The lawyers Fredrik Lindblom and Anett Kristin Olsen participated from Norway along with lawyers from USA and Belgium.
Based on the lectures and the bonds created during the stay, DLA Piper Norway has decided to accept two Ethiopian students as trainees during autumn 2008 and spring 2009. There will be one student from Addis Abeba University and one from Mekelle University. All expenses are covered by DLA Piper. The first student will have the possibility to take a closer look at finance, corporate business and participate in on-going cases at the Oslo office.
DLA Piper’s commitment has gained great respect and admiration from the students at both universities and gives Ethiopian students a unique opportunity that they have never had before.
