Oslo Café and Fast Food opened recently not far from the Norwegian residence. Visited by the Ambassador today the staff could give no explanation as to why the place had been given the Oslo name. However with three establishments now in Addis named after the Norwegian capital, Oslo is really getting a name here. For further Norwegian linkages Dass cafe close to the African Union could have a relation to Petter Dass, but this has been impossible to confirm.
As the latest addition(Oslo Café and Fast Food) is situated close to the residence in the area popularly known as Cuban Embassy (as the Norwegain residence was earlier inhabitated by the Cuban ambassador), maybe the area gradually can be known as Norwegian Embassy area instead
