The last day of the election campaign was the 20th of May. Until then, parties were making the most of campaigning. In addition to posters and rallies, trucks with loudspeakers have been travelling around encouraging the public to vote.
Each party has an “election symbol”, like the bee of the EPRDF, or the hand of the FORUM and the Meskel flower of EDP.
The bee of the EPRDFOn the 23rd of May, polling will start at 6:00 am, and close at 6:00 pm. There are more than 40 000 polling stations all over the country. The elections will be observed by the European Union, African Union, as well as an Ethiopian netwok of 10 civic society organizations.
