Nile Basin research programme invites researchers from Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo to join the programme as part of a research group on the International Aid System, for a period of five months starting in August 2009.  Application deadline: February 15th 2009

Under en stor åpningsseremoni i dag med flere hundre deltakere åpnet Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA) sitt nybygg i Addis Abeba. Selve åpningen ble foretatt av regjeringspartiets chief whip Hailemariam Desalegn med god deltakelse fra etiopiske samfunnsliv, akademia og det diplomatiske samfunn. Norge ble overrekt en erkjennelsesgave for norsk støtte til EEA gjennom en 10 års periode.
