NUFU programme / Women's Rights and Gender Equality

  In accordance with §2.2 in the NUFU agreement, approximately NOK 22 million have been set aside to support cooperation projects over five years (2008–2012) with thematic focus on women’s rights and gender equality. Bilateral and network cooperation projects between institutions of higher education and research in Norway and the South are eligible for support within the framework of the NUFU programmeality

The objective of the announcement is to promote female participation and thematically emphasise women’s rights and gender equality. The funds are earmarked projects that contribute to research, knowledge generation, institutional cooperation and capacity building.

Application deadline is 23 June 2008.

Projects will be selected by the NUFU Programme Board in October 2008. Projects that receive funding from NUFU should, if possible, start up in 2008.
