Bergen Summer Research School 2010

The third Bergen Summer Research School on Global Development Challenges (BSRS), with the theme "Global Health in Bio-Medical, Social and Cultural Perspectives", is going to be organised by the University of Bergen from 21 june to 2 July 2010.
The School is targeted at PhD candidates and young researchers from all over the world. In the two previous editions altogether 242 students have been admitted to the School, from close to 50 different countries.
The deadline for applications for BSRS 2010 is 1 March 2010.
As in the earlier Summer Schools we expect applicants from many countries in the South and former Eastern Europe. For these students we can also offer a number of scholarships to make their participation possible. The electronic version of the BSRS brochure (download pdf document) lists the 8 different courses offered this year. We ask you kindly to distribute this brochure among your staff and to relevant contacts in the country(ies) which you serve. For those of you who represent countries where our students will need visa to go to Norway, we will get in contact with you as soon as we know which students have been admitted to this year's school, shortly after Easter.
