Norwegian seminar on clean energy projects in Africa

Last updated: 08.06.2010 // Ethiopia was in focus at a business seminar on clean energy project development in Africa organised in Oslo, Norway, recently.

INTPOW, a non-profit organisation established in cooperation between the Norwegian Authorities and the Norwegian renewable industry business, on 2 June organised a seminar in Oslo on project development in Africa. Ethiopia and Uganda received particular attention. INTPOW, together with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are planning a visit by a business delegation to these two countries, with an emphasis on clean energy, later this year.

 

As part of the seminar, the Africa Network of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) organised a session focussed on clean energy developments in East Africa. At a second session provided information on how embark on international projects and how to best make use of what Norfund and other relevant institutions offer. Companies with projects in Africa shared their knowledge and experience.
