More than 90 per cent of the fruit and 40 per cent of the vegetables are imported to the Nordic countries. A lot of it comes from developing countries, particularly the fruit. Organically grown fruit is becoming more and more popular, which could be a business opportunity. Also, there is a trend towards year-round supply which could benefit exporters from developing countries.
