Embassy hosts Ethiopia-Norway Clean Energy Seminar in conjunction with Hydropower for Sustainable Development 2011 Conference

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Addis Abeba hosts a Norwegian clean energy delegation to Ethiopia in conjunction with the International “Hydropower for Sustainable Development 2011” conference to be held in Addis Abeba on 31st March and 1st April 2011.
The Embassy will organise a specific program for the Norwegian energy delegation from private and public sector on the days preceding the conference. The Clean Energy Seminar will take place on the Sheraton Hotel on 30 March and about 100 participants are expected to attend. Opportunities for private sector activities and investments in the clean energy sector in Ethiopia will one of the focal area at the seminar. To set the scene for what will hopefully be a fruitful match making and exchange of experiences, the seminar will be preceded by a one day visit to an Ethiopian power plant.
