Discussions on financing of climate measures held with Ethio-Norwegian Chairmanship

Last updated: 15.07.2010 // On July 12th and 13th, Prime Ministers Meles Zenawi and Jens Stoltenberg chaired the UN High-Level Forum in New York The panel is seeking ways to fulfil a U.N. climate summit's pledge in Copenhagen last December-and has been meeting this week to devise ways to set up a $30 billion annual fund by 2012 that would increase to $100 billion a year by 2020.

- The group discusses a variety of funding sources. To take  the question of financing a step further we must describe how realistic the implementations of  the various alternatives will be  This becomes challenging when we will complete the report, Prime Minister Stoltenberg said. 

This is the first meeting after Stoltenberg took over the Co-chair after former UK PM   Gordon Brown.
