Djibouti’s Minister for Energy and Resources, Mr Moussa Bouh Odowa met with Ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud on Tuesday.
In the meeting Minister Odowa presented the forthcoming energy plans for Djibouti and the country’s focus on renewable energy sources such as wind, sun and geothermal. The planned energy cooperation with Ethiopia was also on the agenda. Djibouti is interested in learning more about the Norwegian oil experience – many companies are currently interested in exploring the possibilities for oil and gas in Djibouti. The Norwegian ambassador will continue the bilateral discussions when going to the next IGAD-meeting in Djibouti, scheduled later in June.
