Norway’s PM and Dr.Tore Godal among worlds 100 most inspiring people in to deliver for MDG5

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, International organization Women Deliver announced the “Women Deliver 100,”list of the hundred most inspiring people who have delivered for girls and women. Two of the people on the list are Norwegian, namely Dr.Tore Godal and Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.
Dr.Godal is a Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Norway, and is considered to be an architect and guardian of Europe’s progressive, woman-centered aid policy; ensuring that women in the developing world are at the center of European foreign assistance agendas.
Dr. Godal has also worked in Ethiopia, as a director of the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) in Addis Ababa. Read more about Dr.Godal on http://www.norway.org.et/News_and_events/education/toregodal/
Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is recognized on the list for spearheading a $1 billion campaign to end child and maternal deaths (the Global Campaign for the Health MDGs), calling upon global leaders to join Norway’s effort. An Ethiopian National, Woineshet Zebene is also on the list. She has been involved in the work to adopt a new Ethiopian penal Code, stating that rape is still rape, even when it is papered over by marriage.
